Dates and Costs

The deadline to apply for the Damascus Summer Encounter is April 10th, 2010.

The program is divided into two sessions:

Session One: June 17th-July 14th
Session Two: July 15th-August 11th

The first date of each session is the day which participants should plan to arrive. So, for the first session, participants should arrive on June 17th. For the second session participants should arrive on July 15th.

Participants are welcome to join us for one or two months but are strongly encouraged to participate in the full two months if they are able in order to fully take advantage of all the opportunities that the program has to offer.

The cost of the program is dependent on the length of your trip:

One Month: $2,150
Two Months: $3,665

This price includes:

Breakfast and lunch
Berlitz Arabic course
Airport Transfer (ride to and from the airport)
Weekend excursions*
Arabic text book
$150 registration fee
Preparatory Materials
Basic medical travel insurance
Accommodations (Shared rooms with private bathrooms, ceiling fans, air conditioning, internet access, mini fridges and satellite TV)

The price does NOT include:

      - Airfare
      - City transportation (taxi, bus)
      - Dinners
      - Visa and departure tax

Single Room Fee

For those who want to stay in a single, rather than a double, room there is an additional $400 charge per session.
